The Romet coaster brake hub is quite peculiar. It was designed by a Dutch (correct me if any of this is wrong) company that made folding bikes and a few cruisers during the 50’s and 60’s. They did survive into the 80’s but were floundering up until then. The hub is quite an advancement. It used cylindrical rollers that would roll up a ramp when the driver was pedaled forward or backward. KHE took notes in their Rolex hub, from this (as did, supposedly, Chosen). The idea is very nice, and I hope it can be completed sometime soon...
